Create a stylish and functional entry
Everyone has an entry— lets make/create it FABULOUS- heres some tips how–
Before– the double door entry- opened up into an angry red room— we toned down that red by doing a faux technique that eased into a soothing persimmon color- and added a strip of moulding equipped with hooks for the perfect spot for guest to place their belongs.
Secondly- the pile of clutter is something that we all have to wrestle with- so why not add sophiscation and functionality to the style by custom building a bench seat with under storage for shoes- and then wrapped wainscoting all around the entry area. We added the hooks for more options for this busy homeowners lifestyle and then topped the wainscoting with picture rail moulding- allowing the homeowner to change out the seasonal decor and photos at their whim! The wainscoting was painted to match the semi-gloss trim- and was richly complimented with the shimmery sand faux paint treatment above– its reminiscent of the homeowners favorite vacation beach spot!
The flat stark white ceiling was screaming for a dramatic do-over– so- we contrasted the white expanse by stenciling black paint with the “AGORA” stencil by cutting edge stencils– This is definitely the WOW factor that welcomes and draws one in–
